Miscellaneous cards

Hi everyone...hope that you're all doing well!! I just wanted to share some pictures of some of the stuff that I've been working on over the past couple of weeks.

The Christmas card was made for a workshop that I hosted on November 10th (I just love that Santa stamp from SU!'s Jolliest Time of the Year set...it's probably one of my favourite Christmas stamps this year). I'm hoping to get the last of this year's Christmas cards done sometime in the next week or so.

I made the calendar page for a Bella calendar swap...I chose to do the month of May as it's my birthday month and I'm really happy with how it turned out (I love that Bella stamp and I can't wait to see what everyone else came up with).

The final two cards are for some mingles in the Magnolia group that I belong to. I absolutely love the Tila with Sunflower image and I think the Dalecarlia Coat Tilda image is really cute too).

Sorry that I'm not going into major detail about what I used to make these cards and calendar pages...I've had a very stressful week with health issues with my dad (he was admitted to hospital on Monday and they've found tumours in his head and possibly in his chest too) and I just wanted to make this a quick post before I head for bed.

Thanks for stopping by to check out what I've been up to. Hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend!!

More Christmas Cards...

Hi everybody...hope you're all having a great weekend! I just wanted to share some Christmas cards that I made today (my mom and I had our annual Christmas card making day...but we figure it'll probably take us one more day sometime this month to finish off all of our cards for this year). The stamps are from Stamping Bella, Magnolia, House Mouse and Taylored Expressions, and I hope you enjoy looking at my cards.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your Sunday!!

Happy Halloween!!

Happy Halloween everyone!! Hope you're all having a great Saturday! I've been wanting to share these cards with you for over a week now but I was waiting until I was sure that the recipients had received them.

I saw this stamp (Tilda with a Spider Web) and knew I had to use it to make these Halloween cards. I pretty much stamped them in Memento ink, embossed them with some sparkly black detail powder, and coloured them in with my Stampin' Write markers. All of the paper used came from the Halloween Key Ingredients kit by Taylored Expressions (love these kits). I wanted to keep these cards simple so I just used my corner rounder and some pop dots on the image to finish off the card. I'm pretty happy with how they turned out (although I wish I had made more Halloween cards this year...these are the only ones that I got around to making).

Thanks for stopping by to check out my creations! Hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend!!

Oh, the weather outside is frightful...

Hi everyone! Hope that you're having better weather than I'm having! It was so gray and rainy all day...just the perfect kind of day to stay inside and make cards (once I got home from work that is). I've started my Christmas card making and wanted to share what I've made so far with you.

All the supplies are from Stampin' Up!. I used the Christmas Jingle Simply Scrappin' Kit, Stampin' Write Markers, Basic Black ink and Versa Mark ink, embossing powder, Whisper White organza ribbon, Top Note die, and a bunch of different stamp sets (Dasher, Good Cheer, Jolliest Time of the Year, Berry Christmas and Patterned Pines).

I'm pretty happy with how my cards turned out and glad that I've got a start on my Christmas cards (I'm going to devote at least one day in November to try and finish them all up). Thanks for stopping by to check out my creations and hope that you all have a great night!!

Sunflower Tilda

Hi everyone...hope you're all having a great weekend! I just wanted to share some cards that I made last week for some mingles. I'm really loving this Tilda stamp right now (I think she has to be my favourite Magnolia stamp).

I inked her up with SU! Basic Black ink and coloured her in with my Stampin' Write markers. The cardstock is some of SU!'s new in-colors (Soft Suede, Crushed Curry, and Dusty Durango) and I can't remember which company the patterned paper is from (I bought it a few weeks ago and couldn't wait to use it to make some autumn type cards with). I ran the image through my cuttlebug with my scalloped nesties and popped it up for some added oomph. I added some glossy affects to the sunflower (love this stuff)and added some of the in-color ribbon to finish off the cards.

Thanks for stopping by to check out my newest creations. I got a bunch of new product this past week that I'm just itching to use so I'm hoping to get some more cards made today (in between spending time with my guy, who flys back to Texas tomorrow for work and helping him get his stuff ready to pack as he'll be leaving super early tomorrow morning to catch his flight...the good thing is that he'll be coming home again in 5 days for Thanksgiving weekend). Hope you all enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

Christmas cards

Hi everyone...hope that you are all having a great Saturday!! I had such a busy day today...I went to a Christmas Card Making Extravaganza today where we made a bunch of cute cards and did some shopping (a big THANK YOU goes out to Phebe Meeder from The Town Scrapper for the super cute stamp and the Scor-pal that I picked up...can't wait to use them)!!

I just wanted to share some Christmas cards that I made this past week. All items used are from Stampin' Up!. The first card was made using Garden Green, Real Red, and Whisper White cardstock, Christmas Cocoa Specialty DSP, the Berry Christmas stamp set, Stampin' Write markers (Garden Green, Real Red, and Basic Black), my Top Notes die and Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter.

I got the idea for the second card (which is a gift card holder) for a lady (sorry that I can't remember who it was) on SCS but I changed it up a bit (I used the Top Note die like she did). I made this card with Real Red, Whisper White and Garden Green cardstock (which you can't see because it's on the inside), Petals-A-Plenty Stampin' Up! Textured Impressions Folder, Jolliest Time of the Year stamp set, Mistletoe Ribbon Originals, Stampin' Write markers, and Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter.

Thanks for stopping by to check out my cards...I think I'm just going to veg out for the rest of the night and finish watching Season 1 of Fringe on DVD (love that show)!! Hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend!!

Dragonfly Tilda

Hi everyone...hope you're all having a great night. I'm feeling a little crummy right now...I think my allergies are kicking in..but I wanted to share a couple of cards that I've been meaning to post on here for a while.

I love Dragonfly Tilda...I love anything to do with dragonflys so I fell in love with this Magnolia stamp when I first saw it. I inked the image up with Basic Black Classic Stampin' Pad from SU! and coloured it in with my Stampin' Write markers. The cardstock and ribbon are some of the new In-Colours that SU! has to offer (Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry, Dusty Durango and Soft Suede) and the patterned paper is also from SU! (Razzleberry Lemonade). I added some pearls, rhinestones, and Stickles to finish off the cards.

Thanks for stopping by to check out my cards...I'm off to curl up a good book for a while. Have a great night everyone!

Tilda With Sunflower

Hi everyone! After being away sick for about a month and trying to catch up on other things at the beginning of this month, I finally am back with some new cards to share!

I received my Tilda with Sunflower stamp from a Secret Sister swap earlier this summer (I've been wanting this stamp for a while now) and I've been wanting to use it and my new in-colour things from Stampin' Up! since they came out in July (seeing as I was doing little to no crafting for a while there).

I stamped the images with SU! Basic black classic ink pad and coloured them in with my Stampin' Write markers. I went with Crushed Curry or Dusty Durango for the base of the card and layered some paper from the Razzleberry Lemonade DSP on top of it. I ran the same coloured cardstock (Crushed Curry or Dusty Durango) through my Bigshot using the Top Note die and layered more cardstock and the image on top of it. I added some 1/2" Polka Dot Grosgrain Ribbon (Crushed Curry or Dusty Durango) to the cards and finished them off with some Flowersoft in Autumn.

I actually wasn't too keen on the Dusty Durango colour when I first saw it (I liked Crushed Curry right away) but I'm happy with how the colours went together and how these cards turned out.

Thanks for stopping by to check out my creations...I'll have some more to share with you soon!!

Happy Father's Day!!

Hi everyone...Happy Father's Day and happy first day of summer! Hope you all had a great weekend! I just wanted to share the father's day cards that I made for my dad, step-dad, and my bf's dad.

I basically used the same layout for all three cards (I just switched up the stamps and the colours of paper). I inked up Beerafella or Grillafella (from Stamping Bella)with Memento ink in Tuxedo Black and coloured them in with my Stampin' Write markers. I chose to use either Pacific Point, Baja Blue, or Kraft cardstock as my base for the cards and added Manchester Designer Series paper as the background. I ran some scraps of cardstock through my cuttlebug using the labels two nestabilites (love them...I think they are more masculine looking than labels one) and popped it up on the Manchester dp. I also popped up the fellas and added some glossy accents to all three images and stickles to the Beerafella. I finished off the cards by adding some Whisper White organza ribbon and some rhinestones from Basic Grey.

Thanks for stopping by to check out my Father's day creations...have a great night everyone!!

Monstah Bash Birthday!

Hi everyone! Happy Thursday...can you believe that it's almost the weekend? Where did this week go (actually, where did this month go? June is flying by so quicky!)?

I made this card for my friend Marilyn's birthday...it's actually a belated birthday card from our group of friends at work. I've had this cute little stamp (Monstah Bash) from Stamping Bella for a while and had never inked it up, so I thought I would use it for this cute but simple little card.

I inked up the image using Memento ink in Tuxedo Black and coloured it in with my Stampin' Write markers and outlined with a glitter gellyroll pen. I also had a couple of sheets of some really cute dp (Bella Blvd Make A Wish) laying around and thought it would like really cute on the card. I used my Mega Nestabilites Curved Rectangles on the dp and the Yoyo Yellow cardstock (from SU!)and popped it up on the Whisper White cardstock (from SU!). I popped up the Monstah's and added some glossy accents and rhinestones to finish off the card. My friend hasn't seen the card yet (hopefully she'll receive it sometime tomorrow) and I'm sure she'll be pleased with it!

Thanks for stopping by to check out my card...I'm hoping to have more cards to share with you this weekend. Have a great night everyone!

Tilda with Ladybug

Hi everyone!! Hope you all had great weekends!! I've been wanting to post these cards for a bit, but since I made them for a mingle, I wanted to make sure that the recipents had a chance to receive them first.

I inked up Tilda with Ladybug with Versamark ink, embossed it with black embossing powder, and I coloured them in with my new SU! Stampin' Write Markers (lovin' them)!! I used some Rose Red cardstock from SU! and ran it through my Big Shot using my Top Note die. I popped that up on some Raspberry Tart Designer Series paper and added some Whisper White Organza Ribbon, some pearls from Basic Grey, a Prima flower with a brad, and some glossy accents to finish off the card. I'm really happy with how these cards turned out (I think that Tilda image is so cute)!

Thanks for stopping by to check out my creations...I'm hoping to post some more this upcoming week as it will be a less busy week for me (last week was crazy busy with getting ready for my dance recital that was held this weekend). Hope you all enjoy the rest of your Sunday evening!!

Tilda In Spring Rain

Hi everyone! Hope that you are all having a great day so far! I just wanted to share this card that I made about a week or so back for a mingle (I was waiting until I knew that the person had received it because I don't know if they check out my blog or not).

I inked up Tilda in Spring Rain on some SU! Whisper Whitecardstock with Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black, coloured it in with my Tombows, and added some glossy accents to the raindrops and puddle. I layered that on some SU! Baja Breeze cardstock and pop dotted it on top of some patterned paper from the SEI Poppy paper pack. I also added a bit of SU! Whisper White Organza Ribbon, a couple of Prima flowers, and a clear rhinestone brad from SU! to finish off the card. I'm pretty happy with how this card turned out and I'm glad that the recipent was happy with it too.

Thanks for stopping by to check out what I've been up to. I'm hoping to get some card making in today, so I may be back later with more to share. Hope everyone has a great afternoon!!

- If you have time, stop by my other blog (which is going to be for my SU! creations). The address is http://sarahcraftycorner.blogspot.com

Tilda with flowers

Hi everyone...hope that you are all doing well! Thanks for all your kind words in regards to my uncle...it means so much to me!

I just wanted to quickly share a card with you today (I'm off to a family bbq at my mom's house in less than 30 minutes). I received this Magnolia stamp in the mail not too long ago and it was just begging to be inked up. I inked it up with Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black and coloured it in with my Tombows. The cardstock, patterned paper, and organza ribbon is all from SU! (Rose Red, Pretty in Pink, Kiwi Kiss, and Raspberry Tart). I added some white flowers and a pink flower (Imaginisce and Bo Bunny) and finished them off with some gems and a button (Basic Grey). I finished off the card by popping up the image and tracing around it with a glitter gelly roll pen.

Thanks for stopping by to check out my creation! Have a great Sunday everyone!

Birthday card

Hi everyone...hope you're having a great weekend so far!! My weekend is going ok so far...I'm feeling a bit sad today cause I found out that my Great Uncle Nick passed away last night (he had Alzheimer's and had hurt his hip really badly not too long ago). I think I'm feeling most sad that I'm not going to be able to make it to the funeral to say goodbye (it's about a 6-7 hour drive away and I'm not going to be able to get the time off work)but I know he's in a better place and he's not in pain anymore. RIP Uncle Nick...you will be missed!

The card that I'm going to share with you today is a birthday card for my boyfriend's mom (her birthday is today and the party starts in 5 1/2 hours). I inked up Cakeabella and the happy birthday sentiment with versafine ink in onyx black and embossed them with sparkle detail powder. I coloured in the image with my Tombows and added some glitter to the cake for the icing. I used my classic and scalloped rectangle nestabilties and double ended tag nestabilities in my cuttlebug on Whisper White and Certainly Celery cardstock from SU!. The flowers are from Bo Bunny (I just bought them this past Monday when I was in the States from Archiver's) and the flower brad and patterned paper came from a card kit that I purchased from Scrapping Great Deals. I'm pretty happy with how the card turned out and I hope she enjoys it!

Anyways, I'm off to do a couple of errands and get ready before I head over to my bf's parents house to help them finish getting ready for the party. Have a great Saturday everyone!

Happy Sunday!!

Hi everyone!! Hope you are all having a great weekend and happy mother's day to all you mom's out there!! I've been meaning to post these two cards all week but I got busy and the week just seemed to disappear .

For my first card, I inked up an image from Stamping Bella's line of Ketto's (Tatiana Ketto). I love the Ketto line...I think each image is so different that everyone out there can find one that they can call their favourite (and this one happens to be one of my favourites). So, I inked up the image with Versafine ink in onyx black and embossed it with clear detail powder. I coloured it in with tombows and copics and added some glitter with a gelly roll pen. I used my labels 1 nestabilities on SU! cardstock (whisper white and only orange) and added some Basic Grey Marrakech paper to the only orange cardstock base. I finished off the card with some Prima flowers and a sparkly brad. When I first finished the card, I kept thinking that it was missing something but the more I look at the picture, the more I'm happy with how the card turned out.

My second card is a birthday card that I made for my step-dad's birthday. I inked up Happy Chef from The Greeting Farm, embossed it with sparkle detail powder, and coloured it in with tombows.I used my labels 2 nestabilites on SU! cardstock (whisper white and kraft) and also used some Parisian Breeze Speciality designer series paper from SU! (love it). I added some pop dots to the chef's hat and the cake, which I also added some liquid applique to. The ribbon is from SU! too but I'm not sure which one it is as I got it in a bundle.

Thanks for stopping by to check out my creations...I'm off to a bbq in honour of mother's day and my bf's cousins birthday. Hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!!

Happy Thursday!!

Hi everybody!! Hope that you are all doing well!! Can you believe how fast this month has flown by? I'm so excited that it's May tomorrow...and why is that...cause it's MY BIRTHDAY tomorrow!! I've already received an early birthday present (a BIG SHOT starter kit from SU!...THANKS MOM!!) but I haven't had the chance to use it yet. My plans for tomorrow are going to work (for a half day) and out for dinner later that night with my mom, step-dad, and my bf!! Wanna know something sucky...I've come down with a cold/sore throat this week and it's all because of my birthday (almost every year I come down with some sort of cold or sore throat right before my birthday)...kinda weird, eh?

Anyhow, I've got some cards to share...they are pretty simple but I think that they are cute!! Oh, and I got the ribbon idea from a class that I attended on Friday night...Sherri, the instructor, showed us this really cute way to "dress up" ribbon and I had to use it on my cards.

Basically, all I did was stamp up the images with Versafine ink in onyx black and embossed them with sparkle detail powder. I coloured them in with tombow markers and used my nestabilites (plain and scalloped squares) around the images. All of my cardstock is from SU! and I went with Whisper White, Kraft, Certainly Celery, and Barely Banana. The ribbon is from SU! (Barely Banana and Certainly Celery) and I added a rhinestone brad (SU!) and Prima flower to finish off the cards. I'm really happy with how the cards turned out (hope my recipents enjoy them).

Thanks for stopping by to check out my newest cards. Hope you enjoy the rest of your Thursday!!

Thank You!!

I just wanted to give a BIG THANK YOU to my sistah Janet (we were matched up as Bella Sistahs in a former Bella group) for this awesome package that I received on Monday. In the package I received a super cute card (love the image and your colouring is awesome), 2 Bella stamps that I've been wanting forever, a small bag full of assorted baubles, some really cute ribbon, a cute little birthday stamp set, and some images from The Greeting Farm. Thanks so much Janet (you're the best)!!

Birthday cards

Happy Thursday everyone!! I thought about posting these cards yesterday but decided to go with today (as my one friend won't be receiving her card until later today).

My first card is for my friend Shannon W. (who celebrated her birthday this past weekend). I went with Birthday Cake with Stella in it (I love this image but I don't own it yet...this image came from a swap that I was in a while back) and coloured it in with Copics and Tombows. I used my Top Notes die (SU!)and some patterned paper from the Citrus Matstack (DCWV) as my background. I popped those up over some barely banana cardstock and ribbon from SU! and ran the cardstock through my cuttlebug using my swiss dots folder (that has got to be my absolute favourite folder). I finished off the card with some stickles, glossy accents, and clear baubles (Stamping Bella).

My last card is for my friend Fabrizia (who celebrates her birthday this upcoming weekend). I inked up Happy "Bee" Day Huggabugg (Stamping Bella) with versafine ink in onyx black, embossed it (clear), and coloured it in with Copics and Tombows. I used my Top Notes die again and popped it up on certainly celery cardstock (SU!) and patterned paper (K&Company). I ran the cardstock through my cuttlebug using my swiss dots folder, added some certainly celery ribbon (SU!), clear baubles (Stamping Bella), stickles, and glossy accents to finish off the card.

Thanks for stopping by to see my cards...I probably won't be posting any new cards until the beginning of next week as I have a busy weekend coming up (card class Friday night, spa day/sleepover at the Elm Hurst Inn with some of my family members on Saturday, and a family dinner on Sunday for my step-dad's birthday). Have a great Thursday and enjoy your weekend!!

Happy Wednesday!!

Hi everyone...Happy Wednesday and Happy Earth Day!! I just wanted to share a couple of cards with you tonight (one of them I made just for today), so let's get started!!

My first card is an anniversary card for my mom and step-dad (they celebrated 20 years on April 15th). I kept it very simple and just stamped the image inside on kraft cardstock from SU!. I then cut out the "window" using my new octagonal nestabilities and used some acetate paper for the window. The pattered paper (Breathe paper collection), flowers, and glittery brad are all from Prima.

My second card is my last Easter card of this year. I stamped up Tilda with bunny (not sure if that's her real name but she's from the Magnolia Easter collection) with versafine ink in onyx black, embossed it with clear detail powder and coloured it in with a mix of Copics and Tombows. I added some stickles and glossy accents to the image for a little extra detail. I used my stylized flowers cuttlebug folder on some Certainly Celery cardstock by SU! and used my labels 1 nestabilites around the image and on some patterned paper from the K&Company seasonal paper pad. I popped all that up with some pop dots, added some ribbon from my stash, and finished it off with some clear baubles (Stamping Bella).

My last card was made for Earth Day. I inked up Sprout (PMS) with versafine ink in onyx black, embossed it with clear detail powder, and coloured it in with a mix of Copics and Tombows. I used my label 1 nestabilities around my white cardstock (from Papertrey Ink) and my certainly celery cardstock from SU!. The patterned paper is from The Green Stack by DCWV and I added some certainly celery ribbon (SU!) and clear baubles (Stamping Bella) to finish off the card. I also used the Plant & Believe sentiment (from PMS) on the inside of the card.

Thanks for stopping by to check out my cards...I'll be posting some birthday cards tomorrow so be sure to stop by again!! Have a great night everyone!!

- If you are liking my blog background and header, make sure to stop by and check out Deb's Background Blog for some super cute Gorjuss Girl backgrounds. Thanks so much for making the header for me Debs (that was so sweet of you)!!

An award from Teresa!!

I received this award from my SBS and blogging friend Teresa and I was really honored to get it!! Thanks so much Teresa (be sure to check out her blog...she does amazing work)!! I have to pass this award onto 5 people (which is hard as a lot of people out there have amazing blogs that I like to check out and I think you all deserve it) but I'm going to go with Jacquie, Janet, and my SBS'sDawn, Jamia, and Joey .

More Easter cards!!

Hi everybody!! Hope you are all enjoying your weekend!! I had meant to post these pictures yesterday but between driving to London (about an hour and a half away) to get my hair done and do some shopping then driving back home, the day just disappeared.

On to the pictures...these are just some Easter cards that I made for some family and friends. I pretty much used the same stamps for all of the cards...Elle the Easter Fairy is from Paper Makeup Stamps and the Tilda is from the Magnolia Easter collection from Magnolia-licious. Some of the images were inked with Basic Black ink from SU! and the rest were inked with Versafine ink in Onyx Black. I used a combination of Tombows and Copics to colour in the images (my first time using Copics) and added some Stickles and Glossy Accents for a little added something. The cardstock is from SU! (Barely Banana and Certainly Celery) and the patterned paper is from the K&Company seasonal pack.

I also used my Cuttlebug and some folders (Swiss Dots and Stylized Flowers) to do some dry embossing and used my rectangle nestabilites for around the images and my SU! Top Note die for behind the images. The ribbon is from my stash (some is from SU! but the rest is an assortment that I got from the Paper Pickle)and I added some clear baubles that I got from Stamping Bella to finish off the cards.

Thanks for stopping by to check out my cards...I'll be back later to post some more pics of some other cards. Have a great Sunday!!

Easter cards!!

Hi everyone!! Hope you are having a great Good Friday and hope you're enjoying your long weekend so far (I know I am)!! I just wanted to share a couple of Easter cards that I made for a swap about a week ago.

The images all come from the Magnolia Easter collection bundle that I ordered from the Magnolia-licious store. I inked them all up with Basic Black ink from SU! and coloured them in with my Tombows. I popped up the images on my Top Note die from SU! (love it) and popped those up on paper from the K&Company seasonal paper pack. The cardstock is also from SU! and I went with Barely Banana and Certainly Celery. The yellow ribbon is from SU! and the green ribbon is from the Paper Pickle (my LSS). I also added some Stickles to finish off the cards.

Thanks for stopping by to check out my latest creations...I'll be back sometime this weekend with more cards to share (a couple of cards that were made at a card class this past Wednesday and some more Easter cards that I'm hoping to get finished today). Hope you all have a great Friday!!
