Happy Monday!!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!! Just thought I would share some cards that I made this past week and weekend. For my first card, I inked up Little Witchy with Versafine ink in Onyx Black and embossed it with shimmer detail powder. I coloured it in with my Tombows and cut out the image and used some pop dots to make it stick out. I took some black cardstock and used my Cobweb cuttlebug folder. The purple and black paper is from Little Yellow Bicycle. and the "Boo" sentiment is from Stamping Bella. I also used an edge distresser on all the edges and found some black ribbon to finish off the card.

My second card is actually a birthday card for my mom. I inked up Leaning Tower of Stella with Versafine ink in Onyx Black and embossed it with shimmer detail powder.I coloured it in with my Tombows and added some Liquid Applique to make the icing on the cupcake. I cut out the image again and used some pop dots to make it stand out. I used my Stylized Flowers cuttlebug folder on the yellow cardstock. The "Happy Birthday" sentiment is from Stamping Bella as are the dots around it.

For my third card, I used an image from my new Totally Witchin' set by MFT. I inked it up with Versafine ink in Onyx Black and coloured it in with my new Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol (I've never done this technique before, so I'm still not sure if I like how it turned out or not...I'm starting to like it a bit more every time I look it). I just decided to make this card really simple and used the black and purple paper from Little Yellow Bicycle and embossed the sentiment with black detail powder. I used my black ribbon again and used pop dots on the image.

And for my final card, I used the same image from Totally Witchin' and embossed it with shimmer detail powder. I coloured the image in with my Tombows and used some pop dots to make it stand out a bit from the card. The striped paper is from Little Yellowe Bicycle and I added some purple and green brads to keep the card simple again.

That's all I have to share for now...I have a card making class on Wednesday, so I'll have some things to share then. I'm off to get ready for dance class, so thanks for stopping by and checking out my creations!!

Happy Saturday part two

These are some cards that I made last night at a class at another LSS, Crop 'Til You Drop. We did 4 different techniques last night - on the first card, we stamped on fabric...on the second card, we stamped on glossy cardstock and used a white crayon to do some colour resisting...on the third card, we made a shaker box out of a Bella image...and for the final card, we used a paint splattering technique. The four cards turned out really cute and I'm looking forward to next month's class (as the instructor has Christmas cards for us to make). Thanks again for stopping by to check out these cards!!

Happy Saturday!!

Hope everyone is having a great Saturday. I just wanted to share a couple of cards that I made this past week. For my first card, I looked to a card that I made a few weeks ago in a class for inspiration. I inked some stamps from the Ghouls and Goblins sets from Inkadinkado with Versamark and embossed them with black detail powder. I also used my Cobweb cuttlebug folder. For my second card, I used my Pumpkin Riley stamp and inked it with Versafine Ink in Onyx Black and coloured it in with my Tombows. The sentiment came from the Autumn Foliage set from Inkadinkado. I also used my Pumpkin Harvest cuttlebug folder and added some glitter with a Gellyroll pen. Both cards were simple and I like the end result for both of them. Thanks for stopping by and checking out my cards. Have a great night everybody!!

Happy Monday!!

Hi everyone...hope you all had great weekends!! Happy Thanksgiving to all my fellow Canadians!! I just wanted to show you a couple of cards that were made during a card class that I went to on Thursday at a LSS, The Paper Pickle. I'm not going to go into too much detail with what was used to make them (just because I don't remember what inks were used or what company makes the images) but I still thought I'd share them with everyone. I really like the colours and the image of the first card but I LOVE the second card...I love the colours, the image, and I also love the "window" effect of the card(we used acetate, which I have never used before). I'm hoping to get a few cards created tonight, so hopefully I'll be back to share them later. Have a great evening everyone!!

New cards

Hope everyone had a great weekend!! I know I did...I went to my friend's wedding yesterday (it was so much fun and she was so happy) and I had a quiet day today. I thought I'd share some cards that I made this past week. The first two cards were made during at class that my LSS, The Paper Pickle, had on Tuesday and the third card I made yesterday for my friend's wedding.

For my first card, I stamped the image twice with Versamark Ink. Both images were embossed and I paper pieced the coloured birds onto the first image. The brads were silver to start with but they were coated with Versamark Ink, dipped into black embossing powder, and then embossed. I also used the Cobweb Cuttlebug folder (I liked it so much I had to buy one for myself) and added some sparkly chalk to it to give it more detail (but you can't really see it in this picture). A little patterned paper and ribbon finished the card off nicely.

For my second card, I stamped the image with Versamark Ink and embossed it. I used the Swiss dots Cuttlebug folder on the white card stock and oval Nestabilites to make the "frame" around the birds. A little patterned paper, ribbon, flower, and rhinestone added the finishing touches to the card.

By the way, if you live in my area, you should definitely take a card class at The Paper Pickle...the ladies who run the store are super talented as are the ladies who put on the card classes.

And finally, I made the third card for my friend's wedding yesterday. I've been looking at this House Mouse stamp (Sunflower Smooch) for some time now and I thought it would be cute to use on a wedding card. I inked the image with VersaMark Ink, added black embossing powder to the image, and embossed it. I coloured in the image with my Tombows, used my Stylized Flowers Cuttlebug folder on the cream coloured cardstock, and added some clear baubles from Stamping Bella.

I hope that everyone had a fun World Card Making Day yesterday and thanks for stopping by to check out what I've been making. Have a great night!!
