More Christmas cards

I'm back and I have some more gorgeous Christmas cards from friends to share with you.

The first card is from Simone, who was my first Bella Sistah. I love everything about this card...I think she did an amazing job on it (I really think that the insect stamp is super cute)!! Thanks so much for the card Simone!!

The second card is from my friend Angel. I've been friends with her since public school but haven't seen her in a couple of years (she moved across Canada and is now living in Portland with her new husband (as they just got married in the Caribbean in October)). I think it's a cute card and I'm hoping to meet up with her sometime in 2009.

And the final card is from my friend Jacquie. This card is so cute...I love the little angel girl and I think she just did a fantastic job on the card!! She also included some little stamps in the card too (which are cute)!! Thanks so much for the card Jacquie!!

I just want to say thanks to everyone who I received a card from...you are all very talented and I'm thankful to know you all!!

Christmas cards

I received many gorgeous Christmas cards this year and I wanted to share them with you.

The first card is from The Paper Pickle (a LSS). I really think it's a cute card and love the embossing folder they used!

The second cards are from my mom. I had the cat one on my desk at work and the snowflake card was mailed to me. I think they are both very cute cards (thanks Mom)!!

And the final card is from a work friend Shannon. She's very creative when it comes to card making and I love what she did with this card (I really like the Bella she used too)!

Happy Sunday!!

Hi everyone...I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and got to spend some time with your family and friends!! I made these cards over the last couple of weeks but am only getting around to posting them now. My first two cards are birthday cards (the first one is for a friend at work and the second one is for my step-sister)and my last card is my final Christmas card of the year.

For both birthday cards, I used giftabella with hat from Stamping Bella. I wanted to keep both cards simple so I just stamped out the images with Versafine ink in Onyx Black and coloured them in with Tombows. I also used my rectangle nestabilities and added some stickles to the first card and glossy accents to the second card. The happy birthday sentiment is also from Stamping Bella.

For my final Christmas card of 2008, I used some of my Magnolia stamps (Waiting Tilda and the large Christmas ornament). I inked them with Versafine ink in Onyx Black and coloured them in using my new Prisma color pencils (I received some more at Christmas) and gamsol. I also used my oval nestabilities (another Christmas present) around the Merry & Bright sentiment (which is from Stamping Bella). I'm happy with how this card turned out and I hope the recipient likes it as much as I do.

Thanks for stopping by to check out my creations. I hope everyone has a great Sunday night!! Hopefully I'll be back later this week with more creations (as I am on vacation until the beginning of January).

- I know I'm between 2,000 and 2,500 hits, so I'm hoping to have some blog candy for you sometime in early January (I would have liked to have some in December but everything just kinda rushed at me at once). Keep checking back to see what I'll be offering!!

It's beginning to look a lot...

Like Christmas outside!! We had some snow yesterday (not sure how much) but when I woke up this morning, it was really snowing hard (you can't really see in the picture how hard it is snowing). I've already been outside once today to shovel off the front step and create a pathway in the front yard, but I'm not intending to go anywhere else today (I have a pretty bad cold...Merry Christmas to me...plus I need to catch up on some housework and card making...gotta love having a day off).

Anyways, I thought I'd show you all this Magnolia Christmas card that I made earlier this week. I bought some Christmas Magnolia's from a store in Petrolia (called The Town Scrapper) last Saturday and I couldn't wait to try them out. I stamped Waiting Tilda and the ornament with Versafine Ink in Onyx Black, coloured them in with my Tombows, and added some Stickles and a ribbon. The DP (which is from a kit by My Minds Eye) and the Merry & Bright sentiment came from Stamping Bella. I hope that the recipient of this card likes it (I think it's really cute).

Thanks for stopping by to check out my creation...I'm hoping to get a couple of more cards made today, so I might be back to show them off. If not, have a great weekend everyone!!

Christmas cards vol. 4

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!! I thought I would post some cards that I made last week in a couple of card making classes at the Pickle.

The first picture is from a class on Tuesday with Pauline. The second picture is from a class on Thursday with Debbie. They are both super talented ladies and always come up with great ideas for cards.

The final card came to me from one of my SBS sisters, Jo (we were doing a swap a while ago). I got this fantastic card (love it Jo) and some really cute paper and embellishments (I think I'm going to have a hard time using the paper as it's really pretty and I haven't seen anything like it around here). Thanks again Jo!!

Anyways, I'm off for a day of Christmas shopping (I've barely started...hopefully I get a lot accomplised today). Have a great Sunday everybody!!

Birthday card and a Christmas card

Hi!! I made these two cards last night, so I thought I would share them with you all.

For my first card, I chose to use Polly Packages...I love this image. I inked it up with Versafine in Onyx Black and embossed it with sparkle detail powder. I coloured it in with my Prismacolor pencils and gamsol. I used my brand new oval nesties on this card too ( THANKS MOM for the early Christmas present!!). I can't remember who made the patterned paper but I thought it was really cute. I also added some Primas (with a silver brad), some Stickles in Star Dust and the "Merry & bright" image (from Stamping Bella) for an added touch.

I made the birthday card for my boyfriend's birthday yesterday using the most masculine stamp I own (I really need to find some "guy" type stamps). I inked up my Momma and Baby Cupcake stamp with Versafine in Onyx Black and embossed it with sparkle detail powder. I used the same PP for my previous card and used my oval nesties again. I also used my Paisley Cuttlebug embossing folder for the background on the card and embossed the Happy Birthday sentiment with sparkler detail powder.
It's a really cute but simple card (I had a short amount of time to make it in as he was playing his weekly hockey game).

Hope you enjoyed looking at my cards!! Have a great night everyone!! One more thing...since I am almost at 2,000 hits, I will be posting up my FIRST blog candy give-away sometime in the next couple of weeks, so be on the lookout for it!!

Christmas cards volume 2

I went to a class at the Pickle tonight and the super talented Linda came up with these designs, so I wanted to share them with you all. I love how the cards turned out...I love the colours she chose and I love the mirrored paper (I actually bought some for myself tonight).

If you live in my area and get a chance to take a class with Linda at the Pickle, you should seriously do it...she's always coming up with cute cards!! Or for that matter, take a class with any one of the talented ladies at the Pickle...they all have fantastic ideas to share!!
