Thank you!!
A big thank you goes out to my Bella Sistah Shannon Roberts!! I received a package from her yesterday with a ton of goodies (images, Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder (love it), stickles, some BasicGrey Wassail paper (love this paper), some cute snowflakes, and a really cute picture of her family)!! I'm glad that we got paired up to be sistahs for these past few months...it's been great getting to know you!!
Hope that everyone has a safe and happy New Year!!

More Christmas cards
I'm back and I have some more gorgeous Christmas cards from friends to share with you.
The first card is from Simone, who was my first Bella Sistah. I love everything about this card...I think she did an amazing job on it (I really think that the insect stamp is super cute)!! Thanks so much for the card Simone!!
The second card is from my friend Angel. I've been friends with her since public school but haven't seen her in a couple of years (she moved across Canada and is now living in Portland with her new husband (as they just got married in the Caribbean in October)). I think it's a cute card and I'm hoping to meet up with her sometime in 2009.
And the final card is from my friend Jacquie. This card is so cute...I love the little angel girl and I think she just did a fantastic job on the card!! She also included some little stamps in the card too (which are cute)!! Thanks so much for the card Jacquie!!
I just want to say thanks to everyone who I received a card from...you are all very talented and I'm thankful to know you all!!
Christmas cards
I received many gorgeous Christmas cards this year and I wanted to share them with you.
The first card is from The Paper Pickle (a LSS). I really think it's a cute card and love the embossing folder they used!
The second cards are from my mom. I had the cat one on my desk at work and the snowflake card was mailed to me. I think they are both very cute cards (thanks Mom)!!
And the final card is from a work friend Shannon. She's very creative when it comes to card making and I love what she did with this card (I really like the Bella she used too)!

Happy Sunday!!
Hi everyone...I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and got to spend some time with your family and friends!! I made these cards over the last couple of weeks but am only getting around to posting them now. My first two cards are birthday cards (the first one is for a friend at work and the second one is for my step-sister)and my last card is my final Christmas card of the year.
For both birthday cards, I used giftabella with hat from Stamping Bella. I wanted to keep both cards simple so I just stamped out the images with Versafine ink in Onyx Black and coloured them in with Tombows. I also used my rectangle nestabilities and added some stickles to the first card and glossy accents to the second card. The happy birthday sentiment is also from Stamping Bella.
For my final Christmas card of 2008, I used some of my Magnolia stamps (Waiting Tilda and the large Christmas ornament). I inked them with Versafine ink in Onyx Black and coloured them in using my new Prisma color pencils (I received some more at Christmas) and gamsol. I also used my oval nestabilities (another Christmas present) around the Merry & Bright sentiment (which is from Stamping Bella). I'm happy with how this card turned out and I hope the recipient likes it as much as I do.
Thanks for stopping by to check out my creations. I hope everyone has a great Sunday night!! Hopefully I'll be back later this week with more creations (as I am on vacation until the beginning of January).
- I know I'm between 2,000 and 2,500 hits, so I'm hoping to have some blog candy for you sometime in early January (I would have liked to have some in December but everything just kinda rushed at me at once). Keep checking back to see what I'll be offering!!

It's beginning to look a lot...
Like Christmas outside!! We had some snow yesterday (not sure how much) but when I woke up this morning, it was really snowing hard (you can't really see in the picture how hard it is snowing). I've already been outside once today to shovel off the front step and create a pathway in the front yard, but I'm not intending to go anywhere else today (I have a pretty bad cold...Merry Christmas to me...plus I need to catch up on some housework and card making...gotta love having a day off).
Anyways, I thought I'd show you all this Magnolia Christmas card that I made earlier this week. I bought some Christmas Magnolia's from a store in Petrolia (called The Town Scrapper) last Saturday and I couldn't wait to try them out. I stamped Waiting Tilda and the ornament with Versafine Ink in Onyx Black, coloured them in with my Tombows, and added some Stickles and a ribbon. The DP (which is from a kit by My Minds Eye) and the Merry & Bright sentiment came from Stamping Bella. I hope that the recipient of this card likes it (I think it's really cute).
Thanks for stopping by to check out my creation...I'm hoping to get a couple of more cards made today, so I might be back to show them off. If not, have a great weekend everyone!!

Christmas cards vol. 4
Hope everyone is having a great weekend!! I thought I would post some cards that I made last week in a couple of card making classes at the Pickle.
The first picture is from a class on Tuesday with Pauline. The second picture is from a class on Thursday with Debbie. They are both super talented ladies and always come up with great ideas for cards.
The final card came to me from one of my SBS sisters, Jo (we were doing a swap a while ago). I got this fantastic card (love it Jo) and some really cute paper and embellishments (I think I'm going to have a hard time using the paper as it's really pretty and I haven't seen anything like it around here). Thanks again Jo!!
Anyways, I'm off for a day of Christmas shopping (I've barely started...hopefully I get a lot accomplised today). Have a great Sunday everybody!!

Most of the stamps are from Stamping Bella with the rest being from MFT, Penny Black, River City Rubberworks, and Whipper Snapper.

Birthday card and a Christmas card
Hi!! I made these two cards last night, so I thought I would share them with you all.
For my first card, I chose to use Polly Packages...I love this image. I inked it up with Versafine in Onyx Black and embossed it with sparkle detail powder. I coloured it in with my Prismacolor pencils and gamsol. I used my brand new oval nesties on this card too ( THANKS MOM for the early Christmas present!!). I can't remember who made the patterned paper but I thought it was really cute. I also added some Primas (with a silver brad), some Stickles in Star Dust and the "Merry & bright" image (from Stamping Bella) for an added touch.
I made the birthday card for my boyfriend's birthday yesterday using the most masculine stamp I own (I really need to find some "guy" type stamps). I inked up my Momma and Baby Cupcake stamp with Versafine in Onyx Black and embossed it with sparkle detail powder. I used the same PP for my previous card and used my oval nesties again. I also used my Paisley Cuttlebug embossing folder for the background on the card and embossed the Happy Birthday sentiment with sparkler detail powder.
It's a really cute but simple card (I had a short amount of time to make it in as he was playing his weekly hockey game).
Hope you enjoyed looking at my cards!! Have a great night everyone!! One more thing...since I am almost at 2,000 hits, I will be posting up my FIRST blog candy give-away sometime in the next couple of weeks, so be on the lookout for it!!
Christmas cards volume 2
I went to a class at the Pickle tonight and the super talented Linda came up with these designs, so I wanted to share them with you all. I love how the cards turned out...I love the colours she chose and I love the mirrored paper (I actually bought some for myself tonight).
If you live in my area and get a chance to take a class with Linda at the Pickle, you should seriously do it...she's always coming up with cute cards!! Or for that matter, take a class with any one of the talented ladies at the Pickle...they all have fantastic ideas to share!!

Christmas cards
Hi everyone...hope you all had a good weekend. I spent most of yesterday making some Christmas cards with my mom (we're not done yet...we still have to get together one more time in order to finish our cards) so I thought I would share some of the ones that I made with you.
I'm not going to go into how I made each card...I pretty much embossed each card, coloured in most of the images with either my Prismacolor pencils and gamsol or my Tombow markers, and added some extra touches to complete the cards (with either Stickles, Liquid Applique, or Glossy Accents). The stamps that I chose to use came from Stamping Bella, River City Rubber Works, Rachelle Anne Miller, and Impression Obsession. I think they all turned out cute and hopefully whoever gets them likes them as much as I do.
I won a stamp set a few weeks ago from the Queen Kat Designs group on Paper Craft Planet and this is the card and stamp set that I received (both are very cute).
Thanks for stopping by to check out my Christmas creations! Have a great night everyone!!

New card and some coaster creations
Hi everyone...hope you all had a good weekend! I found out that I won the $50 gift certificate from Stamping Bella, so I was pretty happy with that. I just wanted to share some things that I've been creating these past few days.
On Friday, I went to a class at a LSS, Crop Til You Drop, where we made the coaster creations (Alison, the instructor, came up with the ideas for them...she's super talented and I hope to attend another one of her classes again soon). We made a coaster calendar, a calendar with a photo attached, a coaster box (I'm not finished with that one yet as I still need to find pictures to attach to all four sides), and a mini accordion photo album (I didn't open it to show the inside as there are no pictures in it yet...I'm hoping to finish filling it after the holidays). I've never done anything like these before but I'm hoping to possibly make some more again before Christmas.
The Bella card I made today as I stayed home from work (I wasn't feeling well). It's starting to snow here so I thought that the stamp was perfect for the card. I chose my Snowbunnybella stamp and inked it up with Versafine ink in Onyx Black. I also added some shimmer embossing powder to it before colouring it in with my Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol. I used my snowflake cuttlebug embossing folder for the background and added some snowflake brads that I bought recently (I added some shimmer to them too with Versamark ink and shimmer embossing powder).I also added some Stickles in Star Dust to the pompoms and trim around the hood. I think the card turned out pretty cute and I hope my mom likes it (as I'm planning to give it to her tomorrow).
Hopefully I can find the time to create some more cards this week...if not, then I will probably have some to show on the weekend as my mom and I are planning to start our Christmas cards sometime this weekend. Hope everyone has a great night and thanks for stopping by!!

Yay for Thursday!!
I'm so glad it's Thursday...I feel like this week just dragged on (I'm dealing with a cold so things seems to move slower when I'm not 100%). Hope everyone else has had a good week though!! I just wanted to share a couple of cards that I made this week.
The first card is for my bf's meme's birthday (she loves the colour red, so that's what I chose to go with for this card). I decided to use Cuppcakeabella (I really like this stamp and I find that I use her a lot for birthday cards). I inked her with Versafine ink in Onyx Black and embossed her with shimmer detail powder. I coloured her in with my Tombows and added some liquid applique as the cupcake icing and also used some Glossy Accents on the cherry and on the polka dots on the dress. I also brought out my Cuttlebug and used my scalloped rectangle Nesties on the red cardstock and used my new paisley cuttlebug folder on the main body of the card. I also used my new threading water punch on the textured paper at the bottom of the card. I really liked how this card turned out and Meme was really happy when she received it. I just want to say a BIG THANK YOU goes out to my Bella Sistah, SHANNON ROBERTS, for sending the paisley cuttlebug folder and the threading water punch my way!!
My second card is a get well card for my step-sister...she was in a pretty bad car accident at the beginning of this week, but is doing pretty well now. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to go visit her in the hospital due to my cold, so I wanted to send her something to show her that we were thinking of her. GET WELL SOON MARIANNE!! The image I chose is actually from an image swap that I did with Jacquie (THANKS AGAIN JACQUIE!!). I coloured it in with my Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol. I also used my Stylized Flowers cuttlebug folder and added some copper baubles and a bit of ribbon to finish the card off. I wanted to keep the card simple but pretty and I think I managed to do just that.
Thanks for stopping by to check out my cards. Hope you all have a great night!!

Happy Saturday!!
Hope everyone had a safe and happy Halloween yesterday!! I thought that I would share some cards that I made at a card class on Wednesday night at a LSS, The Paper Pickle (the instructor, Pauline, is super talented and I like the ideas that she came up with for these cards).
For the first card, we used Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol to colour in the image (the image is from Sunshine Designs). We also used some Cuttlebug folders as well as some scalloped Nestabilities on the card. To finish off the card, we did some paper piercing on the burgundy cardstock and added a piece of burgundy ribbon. The idea of the card was to make it more of a Christmas card instead of an autumn card.
For the second card, we masked off the image and used a lot of different Memento inks to get the colours of the sky and ground. We used Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol to colour in the image (also from Sunshine Designs). We added Liquid Applique and glitter to create the snow and used pop dots on the bigger Christmas trees to make them stand out more. I also used some pop dots on my sentiment (I think it stands out nicer than to have it just lie flat on the cardstock). Sorry if the colour in the buildings seems smudged...this was only the second time that I've coloured with pencils and gamsol, so I'm still learning.
Thanks for stopping by to check out what I've been making. I'm hoping to get a few cards made this weekend, so I'll post pictures of those as well. Hope everyone has a great Saturday!!

Happy Monday!!
Hope everyone had a great weekend!! Just thought I would share some cards that I made this past week and weekend. For my first card, I inked up Little Witchy with Versafine ink in Onyx Black and embossed it with shimmer detail powder. I coloured it in with my Tombows and cut out the image and used some pop dots to make it stick out. I took some black cardstock and used my Cobweb cuttlebug folder. The purple and black paper is from Little Yellow Bicycle. and the "Boo" sentiment is from Stamping Bella. I also used an edge distresser on all the edges and found some black ribbon to finish off the card.
My second card is actually a birthday card for my mom. I inked up Leaning Tower of Stella with Versafine ink in Onyx Black and embossed it with shimmer detail powder.I coloured it in with my Tombows and added some Liquid Applique to make the icing on the cupcake. I cut out the image again and used some pop dots to make it stand out. I used my Stylized Flowers cuttlebug folder on the yellow cardstock. The "Happy Birthday" sentiment is from Stamping Bella as are the dots around it.
For my third card, I used an image from my new Totally Witchin' set by MFT. I inked it up with Versafine ink in Onyx Black and coloured it in with my new Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol (I've never done this technique before, so I'm still not sure if I like how it turned out or not...I'm starting to like it a bit more every time I look it). I just decided to make this card really simple and used the black and purple paper from Little Yellow Bicycle and embossed the sentiment with black detail powder. I used my black ribbon again and used pop dots on the image.
And for my final card, I used the same image from Totally Witchin' and embossed it with shimmer detail powder. I coloured the image in with my Tombows and used some pop dots to make it stand out a bit from the card. The striped paper is from Little Yellowe Bicycle and I added some purple and green brads to keep the card simple again.
That's all I have to share for now...I have a card making class on Wednesday, so I'll have some things to share then. I'm off to get ready for dance class, so thanks for stopping by and checking out my creations!!

Happy Saturday part two
These are some cards that I made last night at a class at another LSS, Crop 'Til You Drop. We did 4 different techniques last night - on the first card, we stamped on fabric...on the second card, we stamped on glossy cardstock and used a white crayon to do some colour resisting...on the third card, we made a shaker box out of a Bella image...and for the final card, we used a paint splattering technique. The four cards turned out really cute and I'm looking forward to next month's class (as the instructor has Christmas cards for us to make). Thanks again for stopping by to check out these cards!!
Happy Saturday!!
Hope everyone is having a great Saturday. I just wanted to share a couple of cards that I made this past week. For my first card, I looked to a card that I made a few weeks ago in a class for inspiration. I inked some stamps from the Ghouls and Goblins sets from Inkadinkado with Versamark and embossed them with black detail powder. I also used my Cobweb cuttlebug folder. For my second card, I used my Pumpkin Riley stamp and inked it with Versafine Ink in Onyx Black and coloured it in with my Tombows. The sentiment came from the Autumn Foliage set from Inkadinkado. I also used my Pumpkin Harvest cuttlebug folder and added some glitter with a Gellyroll pen. Both cards were simple and I like the end result for both of them. Thanks for stopping by and checking out my cards. Have a great night everybody!!
