Tilda With Flowing Hair

Hi everyone!! I can't believe how long it's been since I last posted something on my blog. I had intended to post this card earlier but I wanted to make sure that it had arrived to the recipient as it was a Magnolia-licious mingle card for the month of April.

I'm really still liking the look of easel cards so I used a Magnolia stamp (Tilda With Flowing Hair) to help me create one (I cased the idea for this card from a class that I did at my LSS, The Paper Pickle). I stamped the image with Memento ink on cardstock that I bought from my LSS The Paper Pickle (I can't remember who makes it but I really like it) and coloured the image up with my Stampin' Write markers. The remaining cardstock is from SU! (Certainly Celery and So Saffron) and the patterned paper is from the Taylored Expressions Easter Key Ingredients kit. To finish off my card, I used some ribbon from SU! (So Saffron), a scallop border punch from SU!, some clear rhinestones for some added bling, and some flower stuff to just add that little extra something.

I'm really happy with how this card turned out and really glad to hear that the recipient enjoyed it as well. Thanks for stopping by to check out my latest card...I should have more cards to share with you again soon!!

Tulip Tilda

Hi everyone!! Hope that you are all doing well!! Happy Friday too...I'm so glad it's the weekend!! The weather here was fantastic today...sunny and warm out...unfortunately they are calling for rain for the next couple of days here in Southwestern Ontario (I shouldn't complain...we so need the rain).

I made this card about a month ago for a mingle in the Magnolia-licious group and wanted to be sure that the recipient received it before I posted it. I think this Tilda is super cute...she's a perfect stamp for a spring card.

I inked her up with Memento ink and coloured her in with a mix of Copic markers and Stampin' Write markers (I've been taking classes at the Pickle where the fabulous Linda has been teaching us her tricks on using Copic markers). The cardstock is from SU! (Soft Suede, and Rich Razzleberry) and I cut it out with my Curved Rectangles Nestabilities. The dp is from a Basic Grey pack (Green at Heart...love it). To finish off the card, I popped the image up, added some Glossy accents and Stickles to Tilda, and just added some clear rhinestones for a little bling.

Thanks for stopping by to check out my creation...I made another card this afternoon but since I just put it into the mail this afternoon, I'm not going to post it until I'm sure that the receipient has received it. Hope that you all have a great weekend!!

Happy Birthday Easel Card

Hi everyone!! Hope you're all enjoying your weekend so far!! I just wanted to share this card with you before I go outside and enjoy the beautiful sunny weather we're experiencing here in Southwestern Ontario.

I made this birthday easel card for my boyfriend's sister a while ago but just hadn't gotten the chance to post it yet. As soon as I saw this Kraftin' Kimmie stamp, I knew I had to use it for this birthday card. I stamped the image with Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black and coloured it in with my Stampin' Write markers. All the cardstock, designer paper and ribbon came from the January Key Ingredients kit from Taylored Expressions (I love how everything in those kits coordinate with each other). To finish off the card, I added some clear baubles and added some glossy accents to the image.

Thanks for stopping by to check out my card. I'm off to head outside to soak up a bit of sun and do some spring cleaning in my gardens. Hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend!!

My first Easel cards

Hi everyone... hope that you're all having a great weekend. I thought I'd share my first attempts at easel cards with you all before heading out of town for the night with some friends for dinner and catching the Alice in Wonderland movie (I'm so excited to see that movie).

I made these easel cards for a neighbour who kindly plowed our driveway this winter and for a mingle in the Magnolia-licious group that I'm part of. I think for my first attempts they turned out good (I definitely am really liking the look of the easel cards right now).

All the cardstock, patterned paper, and ribbon is from SU!. The images were stamped in SU! Basic Black , SU! Riding Hood Red, and SU! Baja Breeze ink and coloured in with Stamping Write markers. I used stamps from the SU! sets Branch out and With All My Heart for the card for my neighbour and the Magnolia stamp Sweet Tilda for the card for the mingle. To finish off the cards, I popped the images up and I added some clear baubles, glitter, and Stickles.

Hope you enjoyed looking at my cards... I'll be back in the next couple of days to share the card that I made for my boyfriend's sister's birthday. Hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend!!

P.S. Please make sure you pop on over to Norma's blog for your chance to win her blog candy in honour of her first blogoversary (if you click on the picture of Norma's blog candy on my sidebar, it'll take you straight to her blog).

Oh Baby!!

Hi everyone...hope you're all having a great weekend so far. I can't believe how nice the weather is here today (sunny and mild)...I really can't wait until it's officially spring.

I wanted to share this card that I made for a family friend's baby shower yesterday. I bought this Stamping Bella stamp (teddybella) and had a really cute but simple idea for a card in mind for it.

I stamped it out with Memento ink and coloured it in my copics (I'm just learning how to use them...I'll be going to a technique class at my LSS this week). All the papers and the pearls came from a Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients set (love how all the papers and embellishments in these kits go so well together). I popped the image up and added some glossy accents to a couple of the bags to finish off the card.

Thanks for stopping by to check out my card!! I'm hoping to post some more new cards this upcoming week that I haven't gotten around to sharing with you all yet. Hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend!!

Easter Blessings

Hi everyone...hope you're all doing well. I'm so glad it's Friday...can't wait to get crafty at an all day card making event in Chatham tomorrow (so excited)!!

I just wanted to share an Easter card that I made for my friend's SU! workshop held this past Wednesday. I think this stamp set (Abundant Hope from the Occassions Mini catalogue) is just so cute and I love that the daffodil stamp can be used all spring.

I stamped the image in Basic Black ink from SU! and coloured it in with a couple of my Stampin' Write markers. I popped the image up on some pretty spring coloured dp and cardstock from SU! (Shades of Spring dp and So Saffron, Certainly Celery, and Orchid Opulence cardstock. I finished off the card with my Scallop Trim border punch, Whisper White organza ribbon and added some glossy accents to the flower.

Thanks for stopping by to check out my creation...I have plenty more to share this weekend as I've been busy making cards all week (I'll have cards featuring stamps from Stamping Bella, Kraftin' Kimmie, and Magnolia to share). Hope you all have a great night!!

Happy Valentine's Day

Hi everyone!! It's been way too long since I posted a new card to my blog...a lot has happened since I last posted. My dad got sick at the end of November and every free moment I had was spent at the hospital with him...after a brief battle with cancer, my dad passed away on January 25th. It's been hard for me since then as I'm trying to take care of everything of his but I have plenty of support from friends and family.

This is the first card that I've made in a very long while and it's a Valentine's card I made for my boyfriend. I've been eyeing this really cute stamp (Eunice and Irving) from Stamping Bella for a while now and I picked it up when I visited the store for the first time last weekend.

I inked it in Memento Ink and coloured it in with my Stampin' Write markers. I used SU! cardstock (Kraft, Whisper White, and Real Red) and matched it with some Basic Grey patterned paper (Sugar Rush). I used my corner rounder on all of the corners and also used my cute new heart edge punch from Martha Stewart on the patterned paper. To finish off the card, I added some clear baubles that I picked up from Stamping Bella, a heart brad, and some Stickles in Stardust. I think my card turned out pretty cute and I'm sure my boyfriend will appreciate it.

Thanks for stopping by to check out my latest creation. Hope you all had a great weekend and a happy Valentine's day too!!
