Oh Baby!!

Hi everyone...hope you're all having a great weekend so far. I can't believe how nice the weather is here today (sunny and mild)...I really can't wait until it's officially spring.

I wanted to share this card that I made for a family friend's baby shower yesterday. I bought this Stamping Bella stamp (teddybella) and had a really cute but simple idea for a card in mind for it.

I stamped it out with Memento ink and coloured it in my copics (I'm just learning how to use them...I'll be going to a technique class at my LSS this week). All the papers and the pearls came from a Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients set (love how all the papers and embellishments in these kits go so well together). I popped the image up and added some glossy accents to a couple of the bags to finish off the card.

Happy Valentine's Day

Hi everyone!! It's been way too long since I posted a new card to my blog...a lot has happened since I last posted. My dad got sick at the end of November and every free moment I had was spent at the hospital with him...after a brief battle with cancer, my dad passed away on January 25th. It's been hard for me since then as I'm trying to take care of everything of his but I have plenty of support from friends and family.

This is the first card that I've made in a very long while and it's a Valentine's card I made for my boyfriend. I've been eyeing this really cute stamp (Eunice and Irving) from Stamping Bella for a while now and I picked it up when I visited the store for the first time last weekend.

I inked it in Memento Ink and coloured it in with my Stampin' Write markers. I used SU! cardstock (Kraft, Whisper White, and Real Red) and matched it with some Basic Grey patterned paper (Sugar Rush). I used my corner rounder on all of the corners and also used my cute new heart edge punch from Martha Stewart on the patterned paper. To finish off the card, I added some clear baubles that I picked up from Stamping Bella, a heart brad, and some Stickles in Stardust. I think my card turned out pretty cute and I'm sure my boyfriend will appreciate it.

Miscellaneous cards

Hi everyone...hope that you're all doing well!! I just wanted to share some pictures of some of the stuff that I've been working on over the past couple of weeks.

The Christmas card was made for a workshop that I hosted on November 10th (I just love that Santa stamp from SU!'s Jolliest Time of the Year set...it's probably one of my favourite Christmas stamps this year). I'm hoping to get the last of this year's Christmas cards done sometime in the next week or so.

I made the calendar page for a Bella calendar swap...I chose to do the month of May as it's my birthday month and I'm really happy with how it turned out (I love that Bella stamp and I can't wait to see what everyone else came up with).

The final two cards are for some mingles in the Magnolia group that I belong to. I absolutely love the Tila with Sunflower image and I think the Dalecarlia Coat Tilda image is really cute too).

Sorry that I'm not going into major detail about what I used to make these cards and calendar pages...I've had a very stressful week with health issues with my dad (he was admitted to hospital on Monday and they've found tumours in his head and possibly in his chest too) and I just wanted to make this a quick post before I head for bed.

More Christmas Cards...

Hi everybody...hope you're all having a great weekend! I just wanted to share some Christmas cards that I made today (my mom and I had our annual Christmas card making day...but we figure it'll probably take us one more day sometime this month to finish off all of our cards for this year). The stamps are from Stamping Bella, Magnolia, House Mouse and Taylored Expressions, and I hope you enjoy looking at my cards.

Happy Father's Day!!

Hi everyone...Happy Father's Day and happy first day of summer! Hope you all had a great weekend! I just wanted to share the father's day cards that I made for my dad, step-dad, and my bf's dad.

I basically used the same layout for all three cards (I just switched up the stamps and the colours of paper). I inked up Beerafella or Grillafella (from Stamping Bella)with Memento ink in Tuxedo Black and coloured them in with my Stampin' Write markers. I chose to use either Pacific Point, Baja Blue, or Kraft cardstock as my base for the cards and added Manchester Designer Series paper as the background. I ran some scraps of cardstock through my cuttlebug using the labels two nestabilites (love them...I think they are more masculine looking than labels one) and popped it up on the Manchester dp. I also popped up the fellas and added some glossy accents to all three images and stickles to the Beerafella. I finished off the cards by adding some Whisper White organza ribbon and some rhinestones from Basic Grey.

Monstah Bash Birthday!

Hi everyone! Happy Thursday...can you believe that it's almost the weekend? Where did this week go (actually, where did this month go? June is flying by so quicky!)?

I made this card for my friend Marilyn's birthday...it's actually a belated birthday card from our group of friends at work. I've had this cute little stamp (Monstah Bash) from Stamping Bella for a while and had never inked it up, so I thought I would use it for this cute but simple little card.

I inked up the image using Memento ink in Tuxedo Black and coloured it in with my Stampin' Write markers and outlined with a glitter gellyroll pen. I also had a couple of sheets of some really cute dp (Bella Blvd Make A Wish) laying around and thought it would like really cute on the card. I used my Mega Nestabilites Curved Rectangles on the dp and the Yoyo Yellow cardstock (from SU!)and popped it up on the Whisper White cardstock (from SU!). I popped up the Monstah's and added some glossy accents and rhinestones to finish off the card. My friend hasn't seen the card yet (hopefully she'll receive it sometime tomorrow) and I'm sure she'll be pleased with it!

Birthday card

Hi everyone...hope you're having a great weekend so far!! My weekend is going ok so far...I'm feeling a bit sad today cause I found out that my Great Uncle Nick passed away last night (he had Alzheimer's and had hurt his hip really badly not too long ago). I think I'm feeling most sad that I'm not going to be able to make it to the funeral to say goodbye (it's about a 6-7 hour drive away and I'm not going to be able to get the time off work)but I know he's in a better place and he's not in pain anymore. RIP Uncle Nick...you will be missed!

The card that I'm going to share with you today is a birthday card for my boyfriend's mom (her birthday is today and the party starts in 5 1/2 hours). I inked up Cakeabella and the happy birthday sentiment with versafine ink in onyx black and embossed them with sparkle detail powder. I coloured in the image with my Tombows and added some glitter to the cake for the icing. I used my classic and scalloped rectangle nestabilties and double ended tag nestabilities in my cuttlebug on Whisper White and Certainly Celery cardstock from SU!. The flowers are from Bo Bunny (I just bought them this past Monday when I was in the States from Archiver's) and the flower brad and patterned paper came from a card kit that I purchased from Scrapping Great Deals. I'm pretty happy with how the card turned out and I hope she enjoys it!

Anyways, I'm off to do a couple of errands and get ready before I head over to my bf's parents house to help them finish getting ready for the party. Have a great Saturday everyone!

Hi everyone!! Hope you are all having a great weekend and happy mother's day to all you mom's out there!! I've been meaning to post these two cards all week but I got busy and the week just seemed to disappear .

For my first card, I inked up an image from Stamping Bella's line of Ketto's (Tatiana Ketto). I love the Ketto line...I think each image is so different that everyone out there can find one that they can call their favourite (and this one happens to be one of my favourites). So, I inked up the image with Versafine ink in onyx black and embossed it with clear detail powder. I coloured it in with tombows and copics and added some glitter with a gelly roll pen. I used my labels 1 nestabilities on SU! cardstock (whisper white and only orange) and added some Basic Grey Marrakech paper to the only orange cardstock base. I finished off the card with some Prima flowers and a sparkly brad. When I first finished the card, I kept thinking that it was missing something but the more I look at the picture, the more I'm happy with how the card turned out.

My second card is a birthday card that I made for my step-dad's birthday. I inked up Happy Chef from The Greeting Farm, embossed it with sparkle detail powder, and coloured it in with tombows.I used my labels 2 nestabilites on SU! cardstock (whisper white and kraft) and also used some Parisian Breeze Speciality designer series paper from SU! (love it). I added some pop dots to the chef's hat and the cake, which I also added some liquid applique to. The ribbon is from SU! too but I'm not sure which one it is as I got it in a bundle.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!! Just thought I would share some cards that I made this past week and weekend. For my first card, I inked up Little Witchy with Versafine ink in Onyx Black and embossed it with shimmer detail powder. I coloured it in with my Tombows and cut out the image and used some pop dots to make it stick out. I took some black cardstock and used my Cobweb cuttlebug folder. The purple and black paper is from Little Yellow Bicycle. and the "Boo" sentiment is from Stamping Bella. I also used an edge distresser on all the edges and found some black ribbon to finish off the card.

My second card is actually a birthday card for my mom. I inked up Leaning Tower of Stella with Versafine ink in Onyx Black and embossed it with shimmer detail powder.I coloured it in with my Tombows and added some Liquid Applique to make the icing on the cupcake. I cut out the image again and used some pop dots to make it stand out. I used my Stylized Flowers cuttlebug folder on the yellow cardstock. The "Happy Birthday" sentiment is from Stamping Bella as are the dots around it.

For my third card, I used an image from my new Totally Witchin' set by MFT. I inked it up with Versafine ink in Onyx Black and coloured it in with my new Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol (I've never done this technique before, so I'm still not sure if I like how it turned out or not...I'm starting to like it a bit more every time I look it). I just decided to make this card really simple and used the black and purple paper from Little Yellow Bicycle and embossed the sentiment with black detail powder. I used my black ribbon again and used pop dots on the image.

And for my final card, I used the same image from Totally Witchin' and embossed it with shimmer detail powder. I coloured the image in with my Tombows and used some pop dots to make it stand out a bit from the card. The striped paper is from Little Yellowe Bicycle and I added some purple and green brads to keep the card simple again.

My entry

Cheribella is offering up some awesome blog candy so check it out!! Here is my entry for her blog candy. I chose to use my Little Witchy and Boo stamps from Stamping Bella. I used my Memento Ink on the stamp and coloured it in with my Tombows. I also used my Pumpkin Harvest Cuttlebug folder to add a little extra something to the card. It's a simple card entry but I like it.

New cards and more blog candy alerts

Sorry that I haven't posted any new cards in a while...I've been super busy with work, dance class, and some other things. I decided to sit down tonight and make two cards (I'm hoping to get a few more made this weekend). My first card is made with a new Riley stamp that I bought a few weeks ago...I think these stamps are so cute. I used my new Pumpkin Harvest embossing folder and my Cuttlebug to make the background. I stamped the image with Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black and embossed it as well. I used my Tombows to colour in the image. I also added some copper baubles from Stamping Bella to add a finishing touch to the card. This is the first autumn themed card that I have made this year and I think it's really cute (I've been in this mood to make autumn themed things for a few weeks now).

My second card is for a co-workers birthday next week. I used my Cuppcakeabella stamp from Stamping Bella. I inked her with Memento Ink again and embossed her as well. I used my Tombows to colour her in and added some crushed velvet flock to the bottom of the cupcake and some liquid applique to make the icing on the cupcake. I also added a bit of ribbon and some baubles that came from Stamping Bella. I think it's a cute card but I'm not too happy with how the bottom of the cupcake turned out (I think it could have been a little more darker with the flock...does anyone have any suggestions on how I could have done that?).

Blog candy winner and new cards

Hope everyone had a great weekend!! First off, I won some blog candy from Loreen's blog. I've never won blog candy before, so I'm super excited to get my new blog banner!! And secondly, I created two cards today (both using stamps from Stamping Bella). For my first card, I used cardstock from Papertrey Ink and Euphoria patterned paper from BasicGrey. I stamped the image (Daisybella) using Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black and coloured it in with my Tombows. I used my Cuttlebug and Nestibilities for the flower and added a brad and some pop dots to make it stand out. I also used some baubles from Stamping Bella and glitter Gellyroll pens for some added pizzazz!!



For my second card, I used cardstock from Papertrey Ink and Stamping Up. Again, I used Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black to stamp the image (Eloise Greengrass) and coloured it in with my Tombows. I decided to keep this card really simple and added some crushed velvet brads and a glitter gellyroll pen for the finishing touches!!

Stella birthday card

I made this card tonight for one of my co-worker's who has a birthday coming up. I saw this Stella stamp (Leaning Tower of Stella) and just had to use it. Both this stamp and the happy birthday sentiment are from Stamping Bella. I inked them both with Memento Ink in Tuxedo black and embossed the Stella with clear embossing powder and the happy birthday with a shimmery embossing powder. I also used Liquid Applique on top of the cupcake. After colouring in the image with my Tombows, I went around the outside of them with a Gelly pen to add some sparkle. You can't really tell from the picture but I used pop dots to give the image some oomph. I think it turned out cute and I'm hoping my co-worker likes it.

Shower Card

Hey everyone...sorry that I haven't posted any new cards in a while. I made this card for my friend's baby shower (her theme is yellow and brown) but I am stuck on how to finish colouring in the skirt on the Bella...any suggestions anyone (just so you know, I chose to keep the skirt white)? I think this Expectafellabella stamp from Stamping Bella is really cute (it's the first stamp that I have that has a fella in it). I embossed the image after inking it with Memento Ink (I'm still loving this ink) and used my Tombows to colour it in. Feeling a bit creative today...

Hey everyone!! I just bought this new Bella stamp yesterday and had to make a card with it (I fell in love with the Daisybella stamp when I first saw it). I used paper from Papertrey Ink and the ribbon is from Stamping Up. I used Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black and my Tombows to colour the image in. I also used some dots and a bauble from Stamping Bella to add some finishing touches to the card. I hope you all enjoy looking at the card!!

New card

I made this card for my Bella sistah Simone a couple of weeks ago. I used the Hulabella stamp for my image. I also used Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black (love this ink!!) and coloured it in with Tombow markers. I also used a green Gelly Roll pen to add some sparkle to the image. To finish off the card, I used some Prima flowers, brads, and some clear baubles from Stamping Bella. I thought that this card turned out cute and I just wanted to share it with everyone. New cards and a package from my Bella Sistah!!

Hi everyone!! I received a package in the mail from my Bella Sistah Simone on Monday and I thought I'd share a pic of all the goodies she sent me. She sent me some cool rub-ons, flowers, paper frills, fozz-felt strips, paper, crushed velvet brads, cute felt stickers, gemstones, a Veggiebella stamp (I've been wanting that stamp for a while), flower rain dots (not pictured...sorry...they're cute though), and a great card. I can't wait to use everything!!

The first card I created on Monday and I made it for my mom. I used my new Halobella stamp and You're An Angel sentiment. I stamped the image using Memento Ink and embossed it, used tombow markers and a paintbrush to colour it in (I love how the dress turned out). I also used some crushed velvet flock on the inside of the angel's wings and on one of the clouds. I added some clear baubles (from Stamping Bella) and some Prima flowers to complete the card (I like the finished result).

The second card I created last night at a card class. I used a stamp from the Penny Black line and used Memento Ink. Liquid Applique was also used to create the dots on the image. I chalked with green around the side of the card and chalked the dots in pink. The sentiment was run through the Cuttlebug and pop-dots were used to make it stand out. I really like this card (it's simple, yet cute).

The final card was also created at a card class last night. Using Versamark ink, I stamped the image and used 4 different colours of embossing powder. After the image was embossed, I used tombow markers to fill in some blank spaces and create some depth. The brads were also embossed (I seem to have a problem with getting brads to line up straight). I like how the card turned out and can't wait to try this technique again.

Latest card

Sorry that I haven't posted for a while. I've been busy with work and working on our new house that I haven't really had much time to make many new cards. Hopefully this weekend, I can squeeze some card making time in (I need to use all the new stuff that I bought in the States last Saturday...especially my Cuttlebug).

This is a card that I made about a week or two ago from my Bella Sistah, Simone. I used the kittycattabella stamp from Stamping Bella (I love this stamp because it reminds me of me and my cats). I embossed the image and coloured it in with Tombow markers. I stuck with pink and brown as my card colours and tried to put those colours into my brads as well. It's a simple card but I like it.

Hopefully everyone gets a chance to use the free shipping code from Stamping Bella this weekend (I did and I can't wait to get my package in the mail)...thanks to Emily (she's the best)!!

Happy Thursday!!

Hope everyone has been having a great week!!I've created 3 more cards for everyone to check out!! The first two were made at a class last night, and the last card I made tonight to send to one of my friends who I haven't seen in a while.

So for the first card, I used Tombow markers to colour the design on watercolour paper (I love what a little bit of marker and water can do). I also used the Cuttlebug, some Nestabilities, and some embossing folders for the main parts of the card (can't wait for the weekend as I am FINALLY going to purchase a Cuttlebug of my own!). After adding some Mica flakes, ribbon, and a shaped clip, the card was done (and I LOVE how it turned out!!).

The second card can be used as a gift card holder. We used the Cuttlebug and the Nestabilities for the circles, but other than that we just used a template for the rest of the card. I included two pictures of the card just so you can see the card as a whole and then the two different parts of the card. I like how this card turned out too!

And the final card was made using the Funky Clothesline image and the Let's Hang Out sentiment from Stamping Bella. I just kept this card simple but I like the end result!

More cards...

On this first card , I used the Cosmobella from Stamping Bella , embossed her, and coloured her in with Tombow markers and added some brads next to her. I also used the Cuttlebug to create the flower in the top corner and secured it with a brad.
Using a hollyhock stamp from Sunshine Designs, I stamped the image 3 times on the bigger white cardstock, then once on the smaller piece of white cardstock. I used Tombow markers to colour them in and added Stickles for some sparkle. I also added some pop dots to make the smaller image stand out.
This is one of the most recent cards that I have made (I made it at the beginning of this month). All the ink used was from the Memento Ink line (love those inks!!). Again, I used the Cuttlebug to create the flower and secured it with a brad. I added Quickie Glue and glitter to make the butterfly sparkle.
And this last card is another card that I made at the beginning of the month All the ink is from the Memento line. I used 2 different shades of green and 2 different shades of blue from the to create the sky and the grass. I stamped the leaf image using another shade of green ink and I stamped the flowers 3 times. After embossing them, I used 2 shades of blue and a shade of grey to colour them in and cut them out by hand. I used a Souffle pen to dot the white sections of the flowers. The very top flower is secured with a pop dot and has a bauble for some added pizzazz.

All of the above cards were made at classes that I attend at a local stamping/scrapbooking store. Thanks again for checking out some of my newer cards (I still have more pics of cards to add soon)!!
