Happy Saturday!!

Hope everyone had a safe and happy Halloween yesterday!! I thought that I would share some cards that I made at a card class on Wednesday night at a LSS, The Paper Pickle (the instructor, Pauline, is super talented and I like the ideas that she came up with for these cards).

For the first card, we used Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol to colour in the image (the image is from Sunshine Designs). We also used some Cuttlebug folders as well as some scalloped Nestabilities on the card. To finish off the card, we did some paper piercing on the burgundy cardstock and added a piece of burgundy ribbon. The idea of the card was to make it more of a Christmas card instead of an autumn card.

For the second card, we masked off the image and used a lot of different Memento inks to get the colours of the sky and ground. We used Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol to colour in the image (also from Sunshine Designs). We added Liquid Applique and glitter to create the snow and used pop dots on the bigger Christmas trees to make them stand out more. I also used some pop dots on my sentiment (I think it stands out nicer than to have it just lie flat on the cardstock). Sorry if the colour in the buildings seems smudged...this was only the second time that I've coloured with pencils and gamsol, so I'm still learning.

Thanks for stopping by to check out what I've been making. I'm hoping to get a few cards made this weekend, so I'll post pictures of those as well. Hope everyone has a great Saturday!!

Happy Monday!!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!! Just thought I would share some cards that I made this past week and weekend. For my first card, I inked up Little Witchy with Versafine ink in Onyx Black and embossed it with shimmer detail powder. I coloured it in with my Tombows and cut out the image and used some pop dots to make it stick out. I took some black cardstock and used my Cobweb cuttlebug folder. The purple and black paper is from Little Yellow Bicycle. and the "Boo" sentiment is from Stamping Bella. I also used an edge distresser on all the edges and found some black ribbon to finish off the card.

My second card is actually a birthday card for my mom. I inked up Leaning Tower of Stella with Versafine ink in Onyx Black and embossed it with shimmer detail powder.I coloured it in with my Tombows and added some Liquid Applique to make the icing on the cupcake. I cut out the image again and used some pop dots to make it stand out. I used my Stylized Flowers cuttlebug folder on the yellow cardstock. The "Happy Birthday" sentiment is from Stamping Bella as are the dots around it.

For my third card, I used an image from my new Totally Witchin' set by MFT. I inked it up with Versafine ink in Onyx Black and coloured it in with my new Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol (I've never done this technique before, so I'm still not sure if I like how it turned out or not...I'm starting to like it a bit more every time I look it). I just decided to make this card really simple and used the black and purple paper from Little Yellow Bicycle and embossed the sentiment with black detail powder. I used my black ribbon again and used pop dots on the image.

And for my final card, I used the same image from Totally Witchin' and embossed it with shimmer detail powder. I coloured the image in with my Tombows and used some pop dots to make it stand out a bit from the card. The striped paper is from Little Yellowe Bicycle and I added some purple and green brads to keep the card simple again.

That's all I have to share for now...I have a card making class on Wednesday, so I'll have some things to share then. I'm off to get ready for dance class, so thanks for stopping by and checking out my creations!!

Happy Saturday part two

These are some cards that I made last night at a class at another LSS, Crop 'Til You Drop. We did 4 different techniques last night - on the first card, we stamped on fabric...on the second card, we stamped on glossy cardstock and used a white crayon to do some colour resisting...on the third card, we made a shaker box out of a Bella image...and for the final card, we used a paint splattering technique. The four cards turned out really cute and I'm looking forward to next month's class (as the instructor has Christmas cards for us to make). Thanks again for stopping by to check out these cards!!

Happy Saturday!!

Hope everyone is having a great Saturday. I just wanted to share a couple of cards that I made this past week. For my first card, I looked to a card that I made a few weeks ago in a class for inspiration. I inked some stamps from the Ghouls and Goblins sets from Inkadinkado with Versamark and embossed them with black detail powder. I also used my Cobweb cuttlebug folder. For my second card, I used my Pumpkin Riley stamp and inked it with Versafine Ink in Onyx Black and coloured it in with my Tombows. The sentiment came from the Autumn Foliage set from Inkadinkado. I also used my Pumpkin Harvest cuttlebug folder and added some glitter with a Gellyroll pen. Both cards were simple and I like the end result for both of them. Thanks for stopping by and checking out my cards. Have a great night everybody!!
